Guy Delisle is a Canadian cartoonist and animator known for his graphic novels based on his travels. He studied animation at Sheridan College and worked for various studios in Canada, Germany, France, China, and North Korea.

He is married to a Médecins Sans Frontières administrator and currently resides in Montpellier, France. Delisle's latest work is Hostage, a graphic novel depicting the true story of Christophe André's kidnapping in the Caucasus Region in 1997.
